Circle and Heart Shaped QR Code Generator

Choose a circle, heart or hexagon outline. The real code stays square in the middle with its clear border, and the shape around it is decoration phones ignore.

How to make a round or heart QR code

  1. Enter your link or other content. The preview starts as a circle.
  2. Under “Shape & photo”, pick Circle, Heart or Hexagon. Square brings back the normal code.
  3. Choose a dot style and colours under “Colors & shapes”. Dots and rounded modules suit round outlines best.
  4. Add a logo if you like. It sits in the centre of the real code, as usual.
  5. Check the scan score, then download a transparent-cornered PNG or an SVG for print.

Shape options explained

Circle
A round badge. Popular for stickers, product lids, social media profile images and round table cards.
Heart
For weddings, Valentine’s offers, charity drives and anything personal. The code sits in the wide upper part of the heart.
Hexagon
A neat geometric badge for tech events, labels and honey or cosmetics packaging.
Outline colour
The outline uses the corner (eye) colour, so it matches the three big squares.

Where shaped codes stand out

Round stickers and labels

Print on round sticker sheets without a square code floating in the middle.

Instagram and WhatsApp posts

A circle or heart code looks designed, not technical, and gets noticed in a feed.

Invitations and gifts

A heart-shaped code on a wedding card or gift tag that opens a video message or the venue location.

Event badges

Hexagon codes on name badges that open the attendee’s profile.

Why a circle QR code still scans

Phones look for the three large corner squares and the empty border around the code. The generator keeps the real code square with a clear border of two modules, then fills only the area outside that border with random decorative dots.

Because the decoration is outside the code’s border, scanners skip it. Every design is test-scanned in your browser at three distances, and the result is shown under the preview.

Good to know

  • The decoration makes the image larger than the code itself, so print the whole shape a little bigger than a square code. The scan score shows the minimum size.
  • Frames are not combined with shapes; the outline replaces the frame.
  • Keep the background light and the code dark, as with any QR code.

Questions people ask

Is a round QR code a different kind of QR code?

No. It is a standard QR code with decoration around it, so every phone camera and scanner app can read it.

Can I add a logo to a heart-shaped code?

Yes. Upload it under Logo. Error correction is raised to level H automatically.

Will the corners be transparent?

Yes. In the PNG and SVG, everything outside the shape is transparent, so it sits cleanly on any design.
