What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and identifiers used to remember choices, protect services, measure activity, or deliver advertising. A cookie cannot read the QR information stored inside an image downloaded to your device.
Essential operation
Creating and downloading a QR code does not require an account or an application cookie. Hosting and security providers may still use strictly necessary technologies to deliver pages, balance traffic, detect abuse, and protect the service.
Advertising cookies
When advertising is active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, limit how often an ad is shown, detect invalid traffic, and—where the visitor has consented—personalize advertising. Non-personalized ads can still use limited storage for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and security.
Your choices
Where required, a consent message lets visitors accept, reject, or manage advertising choices. You can also change browser settings to block or remove cookies and manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. Blocking some technologies may affect third-party content or advertising, but it does not stop the browser-based QR generator from creating a static code.
